Anaphylaxis and angioedema are life-threatening emergencies that present unique challenges for nurse practitioners. This session reviews the clinical presentation of anaphylaxis, including key symptoms and biomarkers, and contrasts them with angioedema. It also highlights risk factors, causes, and treatment options to provide a comprehensive understanding of both conditions. By the end of this review, participants will be prepared to recognize both anaphylaxis and angioedema and determine appropriate, patient-specific treatment strategies.
