This course includes a discussion of which ingestions can be managed with naloxone. The pharmacological properties of glucagon are also elaborated upon. At the conclusion of the course, NPs will be able to formulate a plan of care for cardiotoxic patients utilizing high-dose insulin and/or emulsion lipids.rnIncluded in this talk is information on toxidromes, antidotes and reversal agents, common illegal and prescription ingestions and treatments, glucagon, high-dose insulin therapy, IV lipid emulsion therapy, and gap acidosis.
