In the ICU, many patients are either admitted in shock or develop shock during the course of their disease. Despite recognizing that shock is a common ICU issue, it remains a high cause of mortality in our patients. It is essential to quickly evaluate and identify the type of shock and initiate the appropriate treatment course.
