This session provides an important opportunity to strengthen clinical understanding and improve confidence in identifying and managing critical oncologic emergencies. Nurse practitioners will be able to define and understand the differences between metabolic and structural oncologic emergencies. This presentation highlights the risk factors, pathophysiology, diagnostics, symptoms, treatment, and management approaches needed for successful patient care. It will also include discussion on recognizing when a patient’s condition may require escalation to a higher level of care to ensure timely and appropriate management.
