This CE offering will fortify your pharmacology skills by giving you the latest information on antiviral and antiretroviral drugs. The session includes expert advice on choosing long-term regimens for the care of HIV, as well as which regimens should be avoided. The best practices for treating more acute viral conditions such as influenza and cytomegalovirus are discussed. The presentation also contains plans for the care of various strains of hepatitis. The following topics are included in this session:

  • Therapy for opportunistic infections that occur in cases of HIV
  • Antiviral agents for the treatment of herpes simplex and varicella zoster viruses
