Stay at the top of your practice! This CE offering is tailored to increase your proficiency in developing differential diagnosis and care plans for patients with back pain. The session explores spinal cord and musculoskeletal pain management through intense discussions on cauda equina syndrome and herniated disks, among other conditions.

Specialized charts delineate spinal involvement and the corresponding anatomical locations that differentiate specific back injuries. The presentation is augmented with authentic case studies and practice question sets that are designed to enhance your interpretative skills in the management of your patient’s back pain.

In this talk, the following topics are included:

  • The four concepts of musculoskeletal assessment
  • Choosing the most precise diagnostic screening test (e.g., plain radiographs, MRI)
  • Epidemiology and management of lumbar spinal stenosis

How it Works

  1. Log in at www.NPcourses.com
  2. Go to My Account in the upper right corner and click on Courses.
  3. Locate your Course in the list and click on it.
  4. Click on Access Course to proceed.
  5. PowerPoint handouts are available for every lecture under “Materials.” We strongly recommend that you download and print each lecture’s handout so that you may highlight and take notes as you view each video.
  6. Please note that there is information covered in the video lectures that will not be on the handouts, so you must watch the video in its entirety. It is very important to spend time studying all PowerPoint handouts and to watch all course lecture(s) before attempting to take the required quiz.
  7. Each quiz includes 5 items to complete in 10 minutes. Participants have a maximum of 3 attempts to pass each exam with a score of 70% or higher.
  8. After successful completion of the quiz, participants must complete a Course Evaluation.
  9. Upon submission of the Course Evaluation, your Continuing Education Certificate will appear for you to print and/or save in PDF format. We strongly recommend that you print or save the certificate immediately, as your certificate will not be stored in your account indefinitely.

Refunds are not allowed on any of Barkley & Associates’ products.
