Katherine Ward, DNP, WHNP-BC, ANP-BC


Katherine Ward, DNP, WHNP-BC, ANP-BC is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Utah College of Nursing and Executive Director for the MS and DNP programs. Her clinical practices and expertise include family planning, colposcopy, obstetric care and chronic pelvic pain. She received her BSN and MS and DNP from the University of Utah.  She lectures as a visiting faculty member for the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals.


Dr.  Ward is currently the Executive Director of MS and DNP Programs at the University of Utah college of Nursing and was previously the Director of the Nurse-Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program.  Dr. Ward maintains a clinical practice with BirthCare HealthCare as A Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.


She is the recipient of the University of Utah College of Nursing’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2006, the Utah Nurse Practitioner’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2009 and the University of Utah College of Nursing’s Outstanding Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2010.
