Rachelle Nurse, PhD, WHNP-BC, ANP, has been a Nurse Practitioner for over 13 years and has spent her career as a nurse, nurse administrator and advanced practice nurse in the area of women’s health.
Dr. Nurse holds a Bachelors of Science degree in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston School of Nursing. She received a Master of Science in Nursing with a subspecialty in Women’s Health Care from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston and is certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner by the National Credentialing Corporation (NCC). Dr. Nurse also holds a Master of Science Degree in Health Care Administration from Houston Baptist University and obtained her PhD from Texas Woman’s University in Houston.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Nurse is an assistant professor at Texas Woman’s University. She has held teaching appointments at University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and The University of Houston, Victoria. Dr. Nurse also speaks extensively on the topics of perinatal care and advanced nursing practice. She has been honored by the Texas Nurses Association, District 9 as a previous Nursing Celebration Honoree and by the Good Samaritan Foundation where she was nominated as an Outstanding Nurse. Recently, Dr. Nurse was honored by the Elnitra McLean Women’s Shelter for her service to women and families in the Houston Texas. Dr. Nurse has also held a board of director’s position with the Texas Medical Center Women’s Health Network.
