Course Overview:

This 10 hour comprehensive Pharmacology and Infectious Diseases Update Course explores recent trends and evidence-based outcomes involving pharmacotherapeutic choices and diagnostic decision-making in NP practice. Using a systematic approach, emerging trends of the latest pharmacotherapeutic agents, as well as controversies in infectious disease management will be presented. Recently approved antimicrobials, drug resistance, rational use of both inpatient and outpatient antibiotics, as well as the latest drug warnings will be explored. Additionally, treatment updates for a variety of infections and disorders including pneumonia, MRSA, viral dilemmas, STDs/STIs, immunizations and vaccinations will be covered, incorporating case study trivial analyses throughout the course.
