In this talk,
the top prescribed pediatric
medications will be discussed. Of the
top twenty drugs prescribed, most of them
fall into three classifications: Anti-infectives,
drugs for asthma/allergy, and drugs
for minor pain and fever relief. Each
of these classifications will be
discussed, as will specific drugs,
with respect to safe use, side
effects, and contraindications. New
agents and new black box warnings will
be presented.
