practitioner through
differentiating conceptually
between race, ethnicity, and
culture in relation to
ethnopharmacology.
Pharmacogenetics and the impact
that culture, genetics,
biophysiology, and psychosocial
factors have on metabolism are
explored. A discussion of common
inhibitors and inducers of drug
metabolism are illuminated within
a framework to improve clinical
practice when prescribing drugs
among patients of various
ethnicities.
